The equipment you'll need is in the trunk. Pull the carpeting from the floor of the trunk. Turn the center retainer bolt on the spare tire cover counterclockwise to remove it. The box that stores the jack and wrench is on the passenger's side trunk wall. Open the box and then twist the wing bolt a quarterturn counterclockwise. Lift and remove the cover. See "Compact Spare Tire" later in this section for more information aboutthe compact spare. Remove the spare tire from the trunk. Remove the jack and wheel wrench. 5-23
