You'll be usingthe lap-shoulder belt. See the earlier part about the top strap the child restraint has one. if 1. Because your vehicle has a right front passenger air bag, alvvays move theseat asfar back as it will go before securing a forward-facing child restraint. (See "Seats" in the Index.) 2. Put the restraint the seat. Follow the instructions on for the child restraint. in 3. Secure the child the child restraint as the instructions say. 4. Pick up the latch plate, run the lap and shoulder and portions of the vehicle's safety belt through or around the restraint.The child restraint instructions will show you how. If the shoulder beltgoes in front of the child'sface or neck, put it behind child restraint. the 5. Buckle the belt. so Make sure the release button is positioned you would be able to unbuckle the safety belt quickly if you ever had to. 1-40
