Accessory Power Outlet The accessory power outlet can be used to connect electrical equipment such as a cellular phone or CB radio. The accessory power outlet is located on the lower console on the passenger's side. To use the outlet, remove the cover. When not in use, always cover the outlet with the protective cap. Certain electrical accessories may not be compatible with the accessory power outlet and could result in blown vehicle or adapter fuses. If you experience a problem, see your dealer for additional information on the accessory power outlet. NOTICE: Adding some electrical equipment to your vehicle can damage it or keep other things from working as they should. This wouldn't be covered by your warranty. When adding electrical equipment, be sure to follow the installation instructions included with the equipment. NOTICE: When using the accessory power outlet: D The maximum load of any electrical equipment should not exceed five amps. D Be sure to turn off any electrical equipment when not in use. Leaving electrical equipment on for extended periods can drain your battery. NOTICE: Power outlets are designed for accessory plugs only. Do not hang any type of accessory or accessory bracket from the plug. 2-54
