2. You will find a security lock lever located on the inside edge of each rear door. Move the lever down to engage the safety lock. Move the lever up to disengage the safety lock. If the power lock switch is pressed when a door is open and the key is in the ignition, all the doors will lock and then the driver's door will unlock. Leaving Your Vehicle If you are leaving the vehicle, take your key, open your door and set the locks from inside. Then get out and close the door. Remote Keyless Entry System (If Equipped) 3. Close the door. 4. Do the same thing to the other rear door. The rear doors of your vehicle cannot be opened from the inside when this feature is in use. If you want to open the rear door when the security lock is on, unlock the door and open the door from the outside. If your vehicle has this feature, you can lock and unlock your doors from about 3 feet (1 m) up to 30 feet (9 m) away using the remote keyless entry transmitter supplied with your vehicle. Your remote keyless entry system operates on a radio frequency subject to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and with Industry Canada. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Lockout Prevention This feature stops the power door locks from locking when the key is in the ignition and a door is open to protect you from locking your key in the vehicle. 2-10
