Installing the headlamp bulb 1. 2. 3. 4. Insert the glass end of the bulb assembly into the socket. Secure the bulb assembly in place with the metal retaining clip. Attach the rubber boot over the bulb assembly. Slip the bulb retaining ring over the boot and bulb assembly. Lock the ring into the socket by rotating it clockwise until you feel a "stop". Push the electrical connector into the rear of the bulb assembly until it locks into position. Turn the headlamps on and make sure they work properly. If the headlamp was correctly aligned before you changed the bulb, you should not need to align it again. 5. 6. High-Mount Brakelamp Bulbs To replace the high-mount brakelamp bulb, refer to the instructions below or take your vehicle to your Ford dealer or a qualified technician. To remove the high-mount brakelamp: 1. 2. 3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise the hatchback. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove three attaching screws from the rear wiper motor cover (if equipped). Lay the cover aside. Gently pull the hatchback trim panel away from the hatchback. Installing the headlamp bulb
1.
Insert the glass end of the bulb assembly
into the socket.
2.
Secure the bulb assembly in place with the
metal retaining clip.
3.
Attach the rubber boot over the bulb
assembly.
4.
Slip the bulb retaining ring over the boot
and bulb assembly. Lock the ring into the
socket by rotating it clockwise until you feel
a “stop”.
5.
Push the electrical connector into the rear of
the bulb assembly until it locks into position.
6.
Turn the headlamps on and make sure they
work properly. If the headlamp was
correctly aligned before you changed the
bulb, you should not need to align it again.
High-Mount Brakelamp Bulbs
To replace the high-mount brakelamp bulb, refer
to the instructions below or take your vehicle to
your Ford dealer or a qualified technician.
To remove the high-mount brakelamp:
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.
Raise the hatchback.
3.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove three
attaching screws from the rear wiper motor
cover (if equipped). Lay the cover aside.
4.
Gently pull the hatchback trim panel away
from the hatchback.
5.
Disconnect the luggage compartment lamp
electrical connector (if equipped) and lay the
trim panel aside.
