Installing Safety Seats in the Front Outboard Passenger Seating Position For seating positions equipped with a dual locking mode retractor, use the following procedure. If you choose to install a child safety seat or infant carrier in the front seating positions, move vehicle seat as far back as possible. 1. 2. Position the child seat in the center of the passenger seat. Pull down on shoulder belt, then grasp shoulder belt and lap belt together. Figure 1. 29
