Refer to Refill capacities in the Capacities and specifications chapter. Fill to line on reservoir. Use Motorcraft MERCON ATF. 3.2L (3.4 quarts). Use Synthetic MERCON ATF. 3 5.5L (5.8 quarts). Use Motorcraft MERCON ATF. 3 16.7L (17.7 quarts). Use Motorcraft MERCON ATF. 4 Ensure the correct automatic transmission fluid is used.
