If your vehicle is a passenger van with rear seats, a child restraint with a top strap should only be used in the second or third row. Don't use a child restraint with a top strap in the right front passenger's position because there's no place to anchor the top strap. Bucket Seats: An anchor bracket is located at the rear of the seat cushion. Anchor the top strap to this bracket. Bench Seats: An anchor bracket is located at the rear of the seat cushion for the center and right outboard positions in the second and third row. Don't use a child restraint with a top strap in the left outboard position because there's no place to anchor the top strap. Passenger Van Bench Seats Passenger Van Bucket Seats Anchor the top strap to this bracket. For the center seating position, use anchor point (A). For the right outboard seating position, use anchor point (B). Once you have the top strap anchored, you'll be ready to secure the child restraint itself. 1-51
