Hatch Unlocking the Hatch COVER Unlock Instruments and Controls RELEASE LEVER If the power door lock system cannot unlock the hatch, unlock it manually. Place a cloth on the top side of the cover, then use a small flat-tipped screwdriver to remove the cover on the back of the hatch. Push the release lever to the lower right as shown, and push the hatch to open it. If you need to unlock the hatch manually, it means there is a problem with the hatch.
