1 FEATURES OF YOUR HYUNDAI 34 B240B02E-AAT SRS Components and Functions 5 3 2 710 4 The SRSCM continually monitors all elements while the ignition is "ON" to determine if a frontal or near-frontal impact is severe enough to require airbag deployment or pre-tensioner seat belt deployment. The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) on the instrument panel will blink for about 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, after which the SRI should go out. 11 6 3 8 17 9 4 B240B01E-1 B240B02L The SRS consists of the following components: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. SRS Control Module (SRSCM) 10.Occupant Classification System (Front passenger's seat only) 11.Passenger Airbag Off Indicator Upon deployment, tear seams molded directly into the pad covers will separate under pressure from the expansion of the airbags. Further opening of the covers then allows full inflation of the airbags. B240B01L The airbag modules are located both in the center of the steering wheel and in the front passenger's panel above the glove box. When the SRSCM detects a sufficiently severe impact to the front of the vehicle, it will automatically deploy the front airbags.
