6 DO-IT-YOURSELFMAINTENANCE 10 SPARK PLUGS G060A02GK-AAT G060B03GK-AAT 2.0L 2.7L Replacing the Spark Plugs The spark plugs should be changed at the intervals specified in the vehicle maintenance schedule in Section 5 or whenever engine performance indicates they should be changed. Symptoms that suggest poor spark plug performance include engine misfiring under load, loss of fuel economy, poor acceleration, etc. When spark plugs are replaced, always use spark plugs recommended by Hyundai. The use of other spark plugs can result in loss of performance, radio interference or engine damage. HSM392 NOTE: o When replacing the spark plug, genuine Hyundai replacement parts are recommended. o It is recommended that the spark plug for 2.7L Engine should be changed by an authorized Hyundai dealer. 0.039 ~ 0.043 in. (1.0~1.1 mm) 0.039 ~ 0.043 in. (1.0~1.1 mm) G060C02GK-AET Changing the Spark Plugs Your engine was originally equipped with platinum-tipped or iridium-tipped spark plugs. Platinum-tipped or iridium-tipped spark plugs will last longer than conventional type spark plugs. Platinum-tipped spark plug can be identified by blue lines on the ceramic shell. Recommended Spark Plugs: TYPE RC10PYPB4(CHAMPION)*1 PFR5N-11 (NGK) *1 RC10PYPB4(CHAMPION)*1 PFR5N-11(NGK)*1 IFR5G-11(NGK)*2 *1. Platinum coated. *2. Iridium coated. HGK5066 REMARK 2.0L NOTE: Do not clean or regap platinum-tipped/ iridium-tipped spark plugs. 2.7L You will find it easier to change spark plugs if the engine is cold. Always change one spark plug at a time. This helps avoid getting the wires mixed up.
