1 FEATURES OF YOUR HYUNDAI 68 B290A01MC-AAT Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Light (If Installed) NOTE: If the red engine coolant temperature indicator light illuminates, it indicates overheating that may damage the engine. B900A01A-AAT LIGHTS ON WARNING SOUND The warning chime sounds when the tail lights are on and the driver side door is open. This prevents the battery from discharging by warning you when the car is left with the tail lights on. The chime sounds until the tail lights are turned off. ! WARNING: Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. The engine coolant is under pressure and could erupt and cause severe burns. Wait until the engine is cool before removing the radiator cap. These indicator lights show the temperature of the engine coolant when the ignition switch is ON. Red indicator light illuminates if the temperature of the engine coolant is above 253.4±37.4°F (123±3°C). Blue indicator light Illuminates if the temperature of the engine coolant is below 131±37.4°F (55±3°C). If the red indicator light illuminates, pull over and stop as soon as possible and turn off the engine. Then open the hood and check the coolant level (See "If the engine overheats" on the page 3-4.) and the water pump drive belt. If you suspect cooling system trouble, have your cooling system checked by a Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. B270A01A-AAT BRAKE PAD WEAR WARNING SOUND The front disc brake pads have wear indicators that should make a high-pitched squealing or scraping noise when new pads are needed. The sound may come and go or be heard all the time when the vehicle is moving. It may also be heard when the brake pedal is pushed down firmly. Expensive rotor damage will result if the worn pads are not replaced. See your Hyundai dealer immediately.
