TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE Symptom Possible Cause Remedy Take out the Intelligent Key from the vehicle and push the door handle request switch. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK and push the door handle request switch carrying the Intelligent Key with you. Close all doors securely and push the door handle request switch carrying the Intelligent Key with you. When pushing the door handle request switch The front door beep sounds for approximately 2 seconds The doors cannot be locked. When closing the doors The front door beep sounds for approximately 10 seconds The key warning light in the instrument panel blinks in red and the front door warning beep sounds for approximately 3 seconds. The front door beep sounds for approximately 3 seconds and all doors unlock. A warning chime sounds continuously The P position warning light in the instrument panel blinks in red. The ignition switch is not in LOCK position, or the mechanical key or valet key is inserted into the ignition switch. The selector lever is not in the P position. The ignition switch is not turned to LOCK. The battery charge is low. Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key with you. Take out the Intelligent Key from the vehicle and close the door. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK. Remove the mechanical key or valet key form the ignition switch. Make sure that the selector lever is in the P position. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK. Replace the battery to new one. See "Keyfob battery replacement" in the "8. Maintenance and do-it-yourself" section.
