Turn the key toward the front to unlock, toward the back to lock. To lock any door with the door-lock button from the outside, push its doorlock button and close the door. This does not operate the other door lock. Door-lock button Unlock Lock M Locking, Unlocking with Transmitter The doors can be locked/unlocked by operating the keyless entry system transmitter, refer to keyless entry system (page 3-3). NOTE M Locking, Unlocking with DoorLock Button To lock any door from the inside, push its door-lock button. To unlock, pull it out. This does not operate the other door lock. • Lockout prevention keeps you from locking the driver's door with the key in the ignition switch at ACC or LOCK. If you try to lock the driver's door when the key is in the ignition switch and any door is open, the door lock immediately unlocks. • When locking the doors this way, be careful not to leave the key inside the vehicle.
