Knowing Your Mazda Doors and Locks M Slide Operation To open to any position, press the rear of the slide switch. To close, press the front of the slide switch. NOTE After washing your Mazda or after a rain, wipe the water off the moonroof before operating it to avoid water penetration which could cause rust and water damage to your headliner. M Tilt Operation The rear of the moonroof can be tilted open to provide more ventilation. To tilt, push the rear of the tilt switch. To close, push the front of the tilt switch. Close Open NOTE Tilt up Close For safety reasons, the moonroof stops moving approximately 20 cm (8 in) prior to completely closing. After you are sure it is unobstructed, resume closing the moonroof by pressing the switch again. 3-26
