Check your ol as soon i as possible and haveyour vehicle serviced. When this light comeson, it indicates that the engineoil level is 1 to 1%quarts (.95L to 1.4L)low. It will go on for one to three seconds when the ignition is turned to theRUN position, as a bulb check. It will then gooff. Even if you have a lowoil level, it will go off fix l!j to 25 seconds. Then, if the ol level is i low, the CHECK OIL light willgo on for 20 t 40 seconds. If the oil level is o okay, the light will remainoff. If the CsECK OIL light goes on after the 15 to 25 second delay, check the dipstick level.If it reads low, the engine oil should be brought to the proper up level (see the Index under Engine Oil).
