Safety BeltReminder Light Air Bag ReadinessLight There is an ar bag re'adinesslight on the instrument panel, i which shows INFLATABLE MS-. The system checks the air bag's electrical systemfor malfunctions. The light tells youif there is an electrical problem.The system check includesthe air bag sensors and the wiring and the diagnostic module. For more information on the air bag system, see "Air Bag" i the Index. n You will see this light flash for a few seconds when you turn your ignition to RUN or STmT. Then the light should goout. This means the system is ready. (-iiE&=) I I INFLATABLE RESTRAINT When the key is turned to RUN or START, a chime will come on for about eight seconds to remind people to fasten their safety belts. The safety belt light will also come on andstay on for about 60 seconds. If the driver's belt is already buckled, neither the chime nor the light will come on. If the a r bag readiness light doesn't come when you i on start your vehicle, or stays on, or comes on when you are driving, your a r bag system may not i work properly. Have your vehicle serviced right away.
