Seats and Restraints The head restraints are not designed to be removed. Always raise the rear center head rest at least one position when there is a passenger seated there. 2-3 Front Seats Seat Position To move a manual seat forward or rearward: { CAUTION You can lose control of the vehicle if you try to adjust a manual driver's seat while the vehicle is moving. The sudden movement could startle and confuse you, or make you push a pedal when you do not want to. Adjust the driver's seat only when the vehicle is not moving. Active Head Restraints Active Head Restraint System The vehicle has an active head restraint system in the front seating positions. These automatically tilt forward to reduce the risk of neck injury if the vehicle is hit from behind. 1. Lift the bar to unlock the seat. 2. Slide the seat to the desired position and release the bar. Try to move the seat to be sure it is locked in place.
