7 Section 3 ComfortControlsand Audio Systems In this section you'll find out how to operate the comfort control systems and audio systems offered with your Pontiac. Be sure to read about theparticular system supplied with your vehicle. System Controls Fan Knob The left knob selects the force air you want. To turn of the fan off, turn theknob to OFF. The fan must be on to run the air conditioning compressor. Air Conditioning with Electronic Controls Temperature Knor, The center knob changes the temperature of the air coming through the system. Turn this knob toward red (clockwise) for warmer air. Turnit toward blue (counterclockwise) for cooler air. With this system, you can control the heating, cooling and ventilation in your vehicle. The system works best if you keep your windows closed while using it. 3-1
