Programmable Automatic Door Locks With this feature, the doors will automatically lock when the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P) for vehicles with an automatic transaxle, or the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h) for vehicles with a manual transaxle. The doors will automatically unlock when the ignition is turned off. To turn the automatic door locking feature on or off, do the following: 1. Turn the ignition to RUN with the engine off and all of the doors closed. 2. Press and hold the power door lock button in the lock position until the horn chirps twice. To turn the automatic door unlocking feature on or off, do the following: 1. Turn the ignition to RUN with the engine off and all of the doors closed. 2. Press and hold the power door lock button in the unlock position until the horn chirps twice. Rear Door Security Locks (Sedan) Your vehicle has rear door security locks. These prevent passengers from opening the rear doors from the inside. The rear door security locks are located on the inside edge of each rear door. You must open the rear doors to access them. The label depicting lock and unlock positions is located near the lock. Security Lock Label shown To set the locks, do the following: 1. Insert the key into the security lock slot and turn it so the slot is in the horizontal position. 2. Close the door. 96
