Viewing System Description 81 The Device View Page contains the following fields: ■ Product Description - Displays the device model number and name. Not user-editable. ■ System Name - Displays the user-defined device name. See "Configuring System Name Information" page 82. ■ System Location - Displays the location where the system is currently running. See page 82. ■ System Contact - Displays the name of the contact person. See "Configuring System Name Information" page 82. ■ Serial Number - Displays the device serial number. Not editable. ■ Product 3C Number - Displays the 3Com device model number. Not editable. ■ System Object ID - Displays the vendor's authoritative identification of the network management subsystem contained in the entity. Not editable. ■ MAC Address - Displays the device MAC address. Not editable. ■ System Up Time - Displays the amount of time since the device was reset. ■ Software Version - Displays the installed software version number. ■ Boot Version - Displays the current boot version running on the device. ■ Hardware Version - Displays the current hardware version of the device. ■ Poll Now - This button immediately polls the switch ports for information including speed, use and status.
