Note: If you don't have an internal USB port, Adaptec recommends the Adaptec USB2Connect AUA-5100 PCI USB 2.0 host adapter. If you don't have an internal USB port, you can use the cable converter (shown below left) to connect the Adaptec Media Reader to a 5-pin USB terminal on your motherboard. you do not plan to use the Floppy Disk drive, you don't have to complete this step. Skip to Step 8. After you've installed the Adaptec Media Reader and powered on your computer, you must install the device driver. To install the device drivers: 1 Insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.
