Setting the AUX+ SETUP Mode AUX+ ON / AUX+ OFF (Initial setting) An external device (such as a portable music player) can be connected to the Full Speed connector of this unit. A conversion cable (KCE-237B) for building up the AUX IN (optional) is required. A portable music device and an iPod/iPhone cannot be connected to the Full Speed connector at the same time. AUX+ ON: Set to ON when a portable device is connected. If SOURCE/ is pressed and AUX+ is selected, the sound of the portable device is input to the unit. AUX+ OFF: Set to OFF when an iPod/iPhone is connected. You can change the AUX+ name display when AUX+ SETUP is set to ON. Press / /ENT when AUX+ SETUP is set to ON, and select AUX+ NAME by turning the Rotary encoder, then press / /ENT. After that, turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired AUX+ name. This enables a hands-free call or data transmission between BLUETOOTH compatible devices. • Depending on the BLUETOOTH version, a BLUETOOTH compatible device may not be able to communicate with this unit. • Proper function of this unit with all BLUETOOTH compatible devices is not guaranteed. For handling of the BT compatible device, consult your ALPINE dealer or ALPINE website. • Depending on the surroundings, BLUETOOTH wireless connection may be unstable. • When you place a call, or perform setup operations, be sure to stop your car in a safe place. • Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH compatible device(s), the function may differ. Also refer to the Owner's Manual of the connected device(s). Before Using Hands-Free Function Before using the hands-free phone function, the following settings need to be made. Set "BT IN" to BT ADAPTER (page 17). • Before using a hands-free phone, it must be paired with this unit. Refer to "BLUETOOTH SETUP" (pages 20-21). 19-EN

Setting the AUX+ SETUP Mode
