2.2.2 Installing the CPU heatsink and airduct To install the CPU heatsink: 1. Remove the protection sticker on the back of the CPU heatsink. 2. Place the heatsink on top of the installed CPU, ensuring that the four fasteners match the holes on the motherboard. 3. 2.3 System memory 2.3.1 Overview The motherboard comes with four Double Data Rate 4 (DDR4) Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMM) sockets. A DDR4 module is notched differently from a DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 module. DO NOT install a DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 memory module to the DDR4 slot.
