Insert a fingernail into the adapter slot and pull up to remove the adapter from the well of the dock. Or use an object that fits into the slot to gently pry out the adapter. 2. Buttons on the right side of the SoundDock® Portable system raise (+) or lower (-) the volume. Whenever you press either button, a small green light on the front of the system flashes briefly. Volume buttons More to know about system play • The iPod/iPhone charges, as needed, when the system is active. • When the iPod/iPhone is fully charged, leaving it in the dock does no harm to the SoundDock Portable system or to your iPod/iPhone. • When running on battery power, the SoundDock Portable system becomes inactive when your iPod/iPhone is off or silent for 10 minutes. This suspends iPod/iPhone charging. • Pressing any button (except Off) reactivates the SoundDock Portable system and resumes iPod/iPhone charging. • If earphones are plugged into your iPod/iPhone when it is playing, sound comes from both the earphones and the system.
