English TAB 2 TAB 3 TAB 4 Taking the system along Your SoundDock Portable® music system is designed for portability. • Before you move the system, be sure to close the dock. • Use the handle provided on the rear to hold the system securely. To use the system out doors: • Make sure to set it on a firm and level surface. • Keep the system away from sand, dirt, and other debris that can jam the dock and keep it from opening properly. To take the power supply along: 1. Press the button below the power supply adapter to remove the adapter. 2. Wind the cable around the groove along the top of the power supply. 3. Move the small round ball as needed to fix the cable in place. TAB 5 TAB 6 TAB 7 TAB 8 SOUNDDOCK® PORTABLE DIGITAL MUSIC SYSTEM Using a another audio device You can play another audio by connecting it to the system. This requires a cable with a 3.5mm mini plug at one end. 1. Set the audio device to slightly below full volume, then plug it into the AUDIO IN connector. 2. Remove your iPod/iPhone to hear the device play. 3. Adjust the volume using buttons on the system dock or the remote control volume buttons. Other buttons on the remote do not control this second device. To return to listening to your iPod/iPhone, reinsert it into the dock. 7
