Chapter 34: Memorize and Recall Settings Settings on the following tabs can be memorized, then recalled for later use, saving time. x Fabric Settings tab of the Design Info dialog box x Text Effects tab of the Text Properties dialog box x Stitches tab of the Text Properties dialog box x Stitches tab of the Shape Properties dialog box x Running Stitches tab of the Shape Properties dialog box s Memorizing settings To memorize settings: 1 Using the Move tool ( ), select the design shape with the settings that you wish to memorize. "Dancing ants" (moving dashes) appear around the shape. 2 Display the tab containing the settings that you wish to memorize. 3 Select the desired settings. 4 Click the Memorize button. The Memorize dialog box appears. Figure 112 5 In the box above the list, type the desired name for the settings being memorized. 6 Click the OK button. NOTE: To edit the memorized settings, use the Recall button to recall the settings in the tab where they were memorized, edit the settings as desired, and then click the Memorize button. In the Memorize dialog box, select the name of the memorized settings, and then click the OK button. When the message This name is already used in the memorized list. Do you want to overwrite the existing record? appears, click the OK button. The values will be overwritten. s Recalling settings To recall memorized settings: 1 Click the Recall button. A drop-down list of names for the memorized settings appears below the button. 2 Select the name for the desired memorized settings. 78

Memorizing settings
To memorize settings:

Using the
Move
tool (
), select the design shape with the settings that you wish to memorize. “Dancing
ants” (moving dashes) appear around the shape.

Display the tab containing the settings that you wish to memorize.

Select the desired settings.

Click the
Memorize
button. The
Memorize
dialog box appears.

In the box above the list, type the desired name for the settings being memorized.

Click the
OK
button.
NOTE:
To edit the memorized settings, use the
Recall
button to recall the settings in the tab where they were
memorized, edit the settings as desired, and then click the
Memorize
button. In the
Memorize
dialog
box, select the name of the memorized settings, and then click the
OK
button. When the message
This name is already used in the memorized list. Do you want to overwrite the existing record?
appears, click
the
OK
button. The values will be overwritten.
Recalling settings
To recall memorized settings:

Click the
Recall
button. A drop-down list of names for the memorized settings appears below the button.

Select the name for the desired memorized settings.
