General Information Network Menu for HL-3140CW and HL-3170CDW (continued) Submenu 1 Submenu 2 Menu Selections Options Descriptions Wi-Fi Direct Device Info. SSID - Shows SSID of Group Owner. (Continued) (Continued) IP Address - When the machine is not connected, the LCD shows Not Connected. Shows the IP Address of your 3 machine. Status Info. Status G/O Active(**) / Client Active / Not Connected / Off / Shows the Wi-Fi Direct™ network status. Wired LAN Active ** = the number of devices Signal Strong / Medium / Weak / Shows the Wi-Fi Direct™ None network signal strength. When your machine acts as the Group Owner, the LCD always shows Strong. Channel - Shows the channel in use when the Status is G/O Active(**) or Client Active. Speed - Shows the connecting speed when the Status is G/O Active(**) or Client Active. I/F Enable - On / Off* Enables or disables the Wi-Fi Direct™ connection. Network Reset Restores all network settings of the internal print server to the factory default. The factory settings are shown in Bold with an asterisk. 1 ### means a number within the range of 000 to 255. On connection to the network, if the machine's 'Boot Method' is 'Auto' the machine will attempt to set the IP address and Subnet Mask from a boot server such as DHCP or BOOTP. If a boot server cannot be found, an APIPA IP address will be allocated, such as 169. 254. [001-254]. [000-255]. If the 'Boot Method' of the machine is set to 'Static' you will need to manually enter an IP address from the machine's control panel. 2 HL-3170CDW only Reset Menu 3 Display Shows Network Factory Reset Description Restores all network settings of the internal print server to the factory default. Resets the machine and restores the printer settings (including command settings) to the factory default settings. The factory settings are shown in Bold with an asterisk. 96
