Routine Maintenance g Turn the green lock lever (1) at the left of the machine counterclockwise to the release position. Holding the green handles of the drum unit, lift the front of the drum unit and remove it from the machine. 1 5 IMPORTANT • Hold the green handles of the drum unit when you carry it. DO NOT hold the sides of the drum unit. • We recommend that you place the drum unit and/or toner cartridge on a clean, flat surface with a piece of disposable paper underneath it in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner. • Handle the toner cartridge and the waste toner box carefully. If toner scatters on your hands or clothes, wipe or wash it off with cold water at once. • To prevent damage to the machine from static electricity, DO NOT touch the electrodes shown in the illustration. 125
