Setting Lock 2 Setting Lock lets you set a password to stop other people from accidentally changing your machine settings. Make a careful note of your password. If you 2 forget it, you will have to reset the passwords stored in the machine. Please call your administrator or Brother Customer Service. While Setting Lock is On, you cannot change the settings without a password. You can only change the following Fax transmission settings that are in the FAX menu.  Contrast  Fax Resolution  Delayed Fax  Real Time TX  Polled TX  Overseas Mode (For MFC-7240) Also, machine settings cannot be changed using Remote Setup while Setting Lock is On. 11
