6. ADJUSTMENTS 6-2. Adjusting the safety switch position 3689M The safety switch (1) is normally installed as shown in figure [A]. However, if the processing method used for the table leaves too much space between the machine head and the table hole, it may adversely affect the operation of the safety switch (1). The standard amount of clearance between the machine head and the table hole is 1.5 mm. If the clearance is 3.5 mm or more, install the safety switch (1) so that the washer (2) is on the machine head side as shown in Figure [B]. * If the position cannot be satisfactorily adjusted in this way, add more washers of the same thickness. 3691M If the spring stroke is too small, the safety switch will not operate. 3.5 mm or more Sewing machine Table Clearance is too large.
