CHAPTER 9 INSTALLATION I. SELECTING A SITE Keep the following in mind when selecting a site for installation; if possible, visit the user's before delivery of the machine: • The site offers a power outlet whose rating is as specified (±10%) and which may be used exclusively for the machine. • The site is between 7.5°C/45.5°F and 32.5°C/90.5°F in temperature and between 5% and 85% in humidity. Avoid an area near water faucets, water boilers, humidifiers, and refrigerators. • Avoid areas near sources of fire. The site must not be subject to ammonium gas or direct rays of the sun. (As necessary, provide curtains.) • The site must be well ventilated. The level of ozone generated by the machine should not affect the health of people around it. Some, however, may find the odor to be rather unpleasant, and ventilation is a very important factor. • The floor of the site must ensure that the machine's feet will remain in contact, and will hold the machine level. • The machine must be at least 10 cm/3.9 in. away from any wall, and there must be adequate space for work involving the machine. 10cm min.
