3 C B 4 5 6 E G D F Unlock the scanner. 1. Open the Document Cover (B). 2. Move the Scanner Lock Switch (C) towards the release mark to unlock the Scanning Unit (Cover). 3. Close the Document Cover. Make sure that the Document Cover is closed and go to the next step. Insert the power cord into the connector on the left side at the back of the machine and into the wall outlet firmly. • Do NOT connect the USB cable or Ethernet cable at this stage. • Make sure that the Document Cover (D) is closed. Press the LCD open button (E) (1), then adjust the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) (F) to a comfortable viewing angle (2). Press the ON button (G). • The machine may make some operating noises. This is normal operation. • It takes about 4 seconds for the ON button to work after the power cord is plugged in. 1 Preparation

Preparation
Insert the power cord into the

back of the machine and into the

Make sure that the Document

Press the LCD open button (E) (1),
