Using the Power Kits (Sold Separately) Using Rechargeable Batteries (Battery and Charger Kit CBK4-200) Included are the battery charger and four rechargeable AA-size NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries. Charge the batteries as shown below. Four batteries Two batteries Charge Indicator * Two batteries can be charged instead of four. The indicator blinks while charging, then remains lit when charging is finished. Four batteries are supplied with the Battery and Charger Kit CBK4-200, however, only two batteries are used for this camera. z This charger can be used only to charge Canon AA-size NiMH batteries NB-2AH. Please do not attempt to charge NB-2AH batteries in any other type of charger. z Do not mix batteries with different purchase dates or different charge states. When recharging batteries from the camera, always recharge both of them at the same time. z Do not attempt to recharge fully charged batteries, as doing so may reduce or impair battery performance. Also, do not charge batteries for more than 24 consecutive hours. z Do not recharge batteries in enclosed areas that tend to retain heat. 89 Appendix

Using Rechargeable Batteries
(Battery and Charger Kit CBK4-200)
Included are the battery charger and four rechargeable AA-size
NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries. Charge the batteries as
shown below.
The indicator blinks while charging, then remains lit when charging
is finished.
Four batteries are supplied with the Battery and Charger Kit
CBK4-200, however, only two batteries are used for this
camera.
