Preparing the Camera 13 Handling Precautions • Do not charge the battery pack in poorly ventilated areas. • Do not charge batteries other than Battery Pack NB-1L in this charger. • The battery pack continues to discharge a minimal portion of its power while installed in the camera, even with the camera power off. This will shorten battery life. To conserve the battery pack, remove it from the camera during extended periods of disuse and store it in its case in a cool, dry place. Recharge it fully before using it again. • If the performance of the battery pack diminishes substantially even when it is fully charged, the battery pack should be replaced.
