Setting the Date and Time Preparing the Camera 19 • The Set Date/Time menu will appear the first time the camera power is turned on or whenever the built-in rechargeable lithium battery charge is low. Start from Step 4 to set the date and time. • Press the main switch until the indicator glows green. • Press the button several times until the Setup menu displays (§ p. 59). • Use the or button to select . • Select a field (year, month, day, hour, minutes and date format) with the button. • The factory default for the date format in some regions may differ from that shown. • Use the or button to change the value in a field. • Press the button. • Press the MENU button to close the Setup menu. • Please note that the date and time settings may reset to the default settings if the camera battery has been removed for approximately three weeks. Reset the settings when this occurs.
