Shooting 41 Setting the White Balance Setting the white balance to match the dominant light source when shooting will adjust the coloring of the image to the correct settings for the prevailing light conditions. Auto Settings are automatically selected by the camera. Daylight Use this setting for recording outdoors on a bright day. Cloudy Use this setting for overcast, shaded, twilight or evening skies. Tungsten Use this setting for recording under tungsten lighting. Fluorescent User this setting for recording under fluorescent lighting Select a shooting mode (§ p. 33) • Available with the , and modes. ( : selectable for the first image only) • Press the button several times until the White Balance menu displays (§ p. 28). • Use the or button to select a setting. • A shot can be taken immediately after. The menu will reappear after the shot, allowing you to adjust the setting. • The selected white balance setting will remain effective even after the power is turned off.
