Zooming In More Closely on Subjects (Digital Zoom) You can use the digital zoom to zoom up to approximately 140x maximum, and capture subjects that are too far away for the optical zoom to enlarge. Zoom Factor Move the zoom lever toward i. z Hold the lever until zooming stops. X Zooming stops at the largest possible zoom factor without image deterioration. The zoom factor will appear on the screen when you release the zoom lever. Move the zoom lever toward i again. X The digital zoom will zoom in even further on the subject.
