Cutter Unit 6. Hold the Cutter Unit by the grip (a). Pushing down at the position indicated (b), remove it from the Carriage. Important • Never touch any part of the Cutter Unit except the grips (a) and (b). This poses a risk of injury and may stain your hands. Also, it may damage the printer. Caution • Dispose of the used Cutter Unit according to local regulations. • Do not disassemble the Cutter Unit. Touching the blade may cause injury. 7. Hold the new Cutter Unit by the grip (a). Pushing down at the position indicated (b), attach it to the Carriage until it clicks into place. 8. Close the Top Cover. The Carriage moves into position and a conrmation message is displayed regarding resetting the cut counter. 9. Press the OK button. The printer now goes online. 578 Maintenance
