The ELP is a frame sent between two switches to negotiate fabric parameters. Verify that the following parameters match on each switch in the VSAN using the show fctimer command: • ED_TOV timer • RA_TOV timer • FS_TOV timer Note Because fabric parameters are configured on a per VSAN basis, they are required to be the same for all switches within a VSAN. Step 3 Step 4 switch# show fctimer F_S_TOV : 5000 milliseconds D_S_TOV : 5000 milliseconds E_D_TOV : 2000 milliseconds R_A_TOV : 10000 milliseconds This sample output shows the default settings for these timeout values. Optionally, use the fctimer command in config mode to globally set these timeout values across all VSANs or use the fctimer D_S_TOV vsan command for example, to set the D_S_TOV timeout for a particular VSAN to override the global values. Use the show port internal info interface fc command to verify that Rx buffer size matches on both ends of the ISL.
