Booting with Windows 98 The notebook comes to you with the hard drive pre-formatted. However, you may have to install the operating system. For details on how to install an operating system, please consult the Microsoft operating system manual that comes with your notebook. Hard Drive Your notebook comes with a hard drive designated as drive C. A hard drive, also called a fixed disk, is a storage device with non-removable, rotating, magnetic storage platters. TouchPad - Your notebook integrates a TouchPad pointing device, compatible with the Microsoft Mouse and PS/2-type mouse, which allows you to take advantage of software , "tapping" on the TouchPad as an alternative method of pressing the left button will no longer be valid.
