Restoring an Identity To restore an identity: 1. Select Start > All Programs > HP ProtectTools Security Manager. 2. In the left pane, select Credential Manager, and then select My Identity. 3. In the right pane, under I Want To, click More, and then click Restore Identity. 4. Click Next. 5. On the "Device Type" page, select the device type where the backup was stored, and then click Next. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions for the device you selected, and then click Finish. 7. Click Yes at the confirmation dialog box. Removing an identity from the system You can delete your identity entirely from Credential Manager. NOTE This does not affect the Windows user account. To remove your identity from the system: 1. Select Start > All Programs > HP ProtectTools Security Manager. 2. In the left pane, select Credential Manager, and then select My Identity. 3. In the right pane, under I Want To, click More, and then click Remove My Identity from the System. 4. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box. Restoring an Identity
To restore an identity:
1.
Select
Start > All Programs > HP ProtectTools Security Manager
.
2.
In the left pane, select
Credential Manager
, and then select
My Identity
.
3.
In the right pane, under
I Want To
, click
More
, and then click
Restore Identity
.
4.
Click
Next
.
5.
On the “Device Type” page, select the device type where the backup was stored, and then click
Next
.
6.
Follow the on-screen instructions for the device you selected, and then click
Finish
.
7.
Click
Yes
at the confirmation dialog box.
Removing an identity from the system
You can delete your identity entirely from Credential Manager.
