Section 3 - Configuration DHCP Server > Dynamic Pool Settings The DHCP address pool defines the range of the IP address that can be assigned to stations in the network. A Dynamic Pool allows wireless stations to receive an available IP with lease time control. Once a user is finished, click the Save button to let the changes take effect. Function Enable/ Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Disable: assigns dynamic IP addresses to devices on the network. This protocol simplifies network management and allows new wireless devices to receive IP addresses automatically without the need to manually assign new IP addresses. Select Enable to allow the DAP-2590 to function as a DHCP server. IP Assigned From: Input the first IP address available for assignment on your network. The Range of Pool Enter the number of IP addresses available for (1-254): assignment. IP addresses are increments of the IP address specified in the "IP Assigned From" field. SubMask: All devices in the network must have the same subnet mask to communicate. Enter the submask for the network here. Gateway: Enter the IP address of the gateway on the network. WINS: Specify the Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) server address for the wireless network. WINS is a system that determines the IP address of a network computer that has a dynamically assigned IP address. DNS: Enter the IP address of the Domain Name System (DNS) server. Function Enable/
Disable:
