Use the no form of the command to remove a BGP routing process. router bgp AS-NUMBER no router bgp AS-NUMBER Syntax Description AS-NUMBER Specifies the number of an autonomous system that identifies the router to other BGP routers. The range for 2-byte numbers is 1 to 65535. The range for 4-byte numbers is 65536 to 4294967295 or 1.0 to 65535.65535. Default Command Mode Usage Guideline Example Disabled Global configuration Each public autonomous system that directly connects to the Internet is assigned a unique number that identifies both the BGP routing process and the autonomous system (a number from 1 to 64511). Private autonomous system numbers are in the range from 64512 to 65534 (65535 is reserved for special use). The AS Number size is defined as 2 bytes in RFC1771 and RFC4271. Private autonomous system numbers can be used for internal routing domains but must be translated for traffic that is routed out to the Internet. BGP should not be configured to advertise private autonomous system numbers to external networks. Use this command to enter router configuration mode for the specified routing process.
