DGS-6604 m Usage Guideline Examples snmp-server group An SNMP group defines the access method, the read view, the write view, and the notification view. For the access method, it means that when the user who belongs to this group must use the version and access method (for V3) to access the SNMP agent. For the read view, it means that the user who belongs to this group can only read objects that are part of this view. For the write view, it means that the user who belongs to this group can only write objects that are part of this view. Accessing objects that are not part of the view will generate error messages. For the notification view, it means that the system will check whether the trap manager owns the view to the binding objects that are associated with the notification packet. If the trap manager does not own the notification view to the binding objects, then the notification will not be sent to a trap manager. This example shows how to create the SNMP server group public with SNMP v3.
