NOTE: You can use your network as standard, if your printer is type B as shown in the illustration. 1 Ethernet port 2 USB port Connecting the Printer Directly to a Computer A local printer is a printer attached to your computer using a USB cable. If your printer is attached to a network instead of your computer, skip this section and go to "Turn On the Printer."
