Port Indexing Appendix A This appendix shows how to use the switchShow command to determine the mapping among the port index, slot/port numbers, and the 24-bit port ID (PID) on any Brocade Backbone. Enter the switchShow command without parameters to show the port index mapping for the entire platform. Enter the switchShow -slot command for port mapping information for the ports on the blade in a specific slot. Include the --qsfp option to list also the QSFP number, for slots that contain core blades. Example of port index mapping on a CR16-4 blade in a DCX 8510-4 Backbone This example shows the output of the switchShow command for a CR16-4 core blade in slot 3 of a Brocade DCX 8510-4 Backbone. The leftmost column shows the unique port index. The second and third columns show the corresponding physical slot and port numbers, respectively. The corresponding QSFP number for the port is also shown.
