EMC® VNXe® Replacing a solid state internal disk in a disk processor enclosure 302-000-205 REV 02 July, 2015 This document describes how to replace a faulted solid state disk internal disk in a DPE (disk processor enclosure). assembly is released from the enclosure. 4. Use the latches to slide the SP assembly about half-way out of the enclosure. 5. Use both hands to support the SP assembly and pull it fully out of the enclosure. 6. Place the SP assembly on a clean, flat static-free work surface. Removing an mSATA SSD The mSATA SSD is located under the plastic cover on the bottom of the SP assembly. Procedure 1. Attach an ESD wristband to your wrist and to the SP assembly. 2. Expose the mSATA SSD (Figure 4 on page 8): a. Turn the SP assembly over so that its bottom side faces up. b. Insert the mSATA SSD into the SP assembly (Figure 6 on page 9): a. This document describes how to replace a faulted solid state disk internal disk in a DPE
(disk processor enclosure).
The SSD Internal Disk is sometimes called an mSATA SSD. The SSD Internal Disk is located
under the plastic cover on the bottom of the SP assembly. You remove an SP assembly
from the rear of the enclosure.
