Read these instructions before using your product.

Unpack
French control panel stickers
(included for Canada only)
Caution:
Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to
install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.
Remove all protective materials from the printer, including
from inside the paper cassette.

Raise the scanner unit and remove the transportation
lock. Store the transportation lock as shown.

Lower the scanner unit.

Turn on and adjust

Connect the power cord
to the back of the printer
and to an electrical
outlet.
Caution:
Do not connect
to your computer yet.

Press the
On
button, then adjust the control panel
.

Select settings

Select your language and country.
Touch the screen to select the desired option. Press

to see more countries.

Select the current Daylight Saving Time setting (
Winter
or
Summer
).

Select the date format.

Use the numeric keypad to set the date, then press
OK
.

Select the time format (
12h
or
24h
).

Use the numeric keypad to set the time.

when done.

Install ink cartridges
1
Lift up the scanner unit.
2
Unpack the ink cartridges.
3
Remove only the yellow tape from each cartridge.
Caution:
Don’t remove any other seals or the cartridges may
leak.
