IMPORTANT
SAFETY AND
PRODUCT
INFORMATION
WARNING
Failure to heed the following warnings could result in an
accident or medical event resulting in death or serious
injury.
Aviation Warnings
• The indicators represented on the watch are based
on watch-based GPS position, altitude, heading,
and temperature sensors and may differ from the
instruments in the aircraft.
• The watch is intended only as an aid for navigation. Do
not attempt to use this device for any purpose requiring
precise measurement of temperature, direction, distance,
location, or altitude.
• The GPS altitude calculated by the watch GPS receiver
is the geometric height above Mean Sea Level and could
vary significantly from the altitude displayed by pressure
altimeters.
• Do not use basemap (land and water data) information
for primary navigation. Basemap data is intended only to
supplement other approved navigation data sources and
should be considered as an aid to enhance situational
awareness.
• For safety reasons, device operational procedures must
be learned on the ground.
• The United States government operates the Global
Positioning System and is solely responsible for its
accuracy and maintenance. The GPS system is subject
to changes which could affect the accuracy and
performance of all GPS equipment. Portions of the
watch utilize GPS for navigation, and should not be solely
relied upon for navigation.
• To reduce the risk of unsafe operation, carefully review
and understand all aspects of the watch owner's manual
documentation. Thoroughly practice basic operation
prior to actual use. During flight operations, carefully
compare indications from the watch to all available
navigation sources, including the information from
other NAVAIDs, visual sightings, charts, etc. For safety
purposes, always resolve any discrepancies before
continuing navigation.
• The barometric altimeter in the watch will not properly
function in a pressurized aircraft cabin. Do not use the
altimeter when piloting a pressurized aircraft.
• The density altitude function in the watch is dependent
on an accurate temperature measurement. The
temperature measured from within the watch may differ
significantly from the actual outside air temperature and
thus lead to incorrect density altitude calculations.
Applied Ballistics Warnings
The Applied Ballistics feature is intended to provide
accurate elevation and windage solutions based on
gun and bullet profiles and measurements of current
conditions only. Depending on your environment,
conditions may change rapidly. Changes in environmental
conditions, like wind gusts or downrange winds, may have
an effect on the accuracy of your shot. Elevation and
windage solutions are suggestions only based upon your
input into the feature. Take readings often and carefully,
and allow the readings to stabilize after significant
changes in environmental conditions. Always allow a
margin of safety for changing conditions and reading
errors.
Always understand your target and what lies beyond
your target before taking a shot. Failure to account for
your shooting environment could cause property damage,
injury, or death.
Marine Warnings
If your device provides tide information, this feature is for
informational purposes only. It is the user's responsibility
to heed all posted tide or water related guidance, to
remain aware of your surroundings, and to use safe
judgment around the water at all times. Failure to heed
this warning could result in property damage, serious
personal injury, or death.
If your device includes the anchor feature, you should use
it as a tool for situational awareness only, as it may not
prevent groundings or collisions in all circumstances. You
are responsible for safe and prudent operation of your
vessel, for remaining aware of your surroundings, and for
using safe judgment on the water at all times. Failure to
heed this warning could result in property damage, serious
personal injury, or death.
Battery Warnings
A lithium-ion battery is used in this device.
If these guidelines are not followed, batteries may
experience a shortened life span or may present a risk of
damage to the device, fire, chemical burn, electrolyte leak,
and/or injury.
• Do not expose the device or batteries to fire, explosion,
or other hazard.
• Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture, or
damage the device or batteries.
• Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-
replaceable battery.
